She wasn’t just my first love. She was my sassy first love—the one who entered my life with a bang and made my heart stop.

Initially, I was driven by the idea of documenting every moment and adventure across East Asia.

And there I was, in Yongsan Market (Seoul), ready to make the move. At the time, it was the largest camera market in South Korea—four floors full of camera booths and eager sellers.

And then I saw her: the Canon Rebel XT-350, paired with a Tamron 18–55mm zoom lens. My knowledge of photography was limited, but I knew one thing—this camera had me hooked.

That day, I didn’t just walk away with a camera—I stepped into a whole new way of seeing the world.
