Daring to Vanish in the Unknown
Dreaming big and bold is easy.
Staying consistent and executing takes real guts. It often requires jumping into the jungle with little knowledge, as I did on a solo photography expedition for a couple of months in Papua New Guinea, aiming to document the lives of tribes. Before boarding my plane in Sofia, all I knew was the location of a single tribe.
Papua New Guinea turned out to be one of the most dangerous places on earth, immensely remote from my homeland. Expecting help was practically impossible.
I got lucky!
After failing to convince my friends to join me, I went alone. I met amazing people from the Huli tribe, who introduced me to the next tribe, and so on. In the end, I built an impressive body of work dedicated to “Vanishing Worlds” – documenting people who live outside our modern world as we know it.
