A Ghost Town
In the 70’s Varosha was considered the top sea resort globally. Many celebrities were showing off during their vacation in Cyprus. However, a couple of years later Varosha became a ghost town. It fell victim to a war between superpowers using their proxies Greece & Turkey.
Today Varosha falls in the territory of Northern Cyprus and it is monitored by the United Nations.
