Henrie Cartier-Bresson
The G.O.A.T of street photography
Many consider Henrie Cartier-Bresson the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) when it comes to street photography. Some people even think HCB is the godfather of that genre.
If you know me well, you will know that I strive to learn from the best.
Hence, I aspire to get a copy of “The decisive movement” book by HCB for long. Unfortunately, wherever I check I could see that it is sold out. The price of it on the secondary market skyrocketed to 500-600eur. Nevertheless, HCB Foundation helped me procure a copy of that legendary book.
“The Decisive Moment” book was issued originally in the ’50s, and republished in 2017???. It contains a collection of the prolific life work of Henri-Cartier Bresson.
For the next couple of weeks, this book will guide me in learning how to capture “the reflection of both an outer and inner world” of the subjects I will encounter in Bucharest, and wherever the wind brings me.
Fun facts about the book

In Paris, many photographers had painters, singers, and any kind of artists in their close circle. Among other things, this contributed to mutual inspiration.
Henri-Cartier Bresson started contemplating for the book title long before its actual production. He had 45 tentative titles till he selected "The decisive moment" as the final one.
The few texts to accompany the pictures in the book are written in the first person, the singular form "I". Henri-Cartier Bresson intends to make it extremely personal, and relatable.
